Please note the following important information:

Parents, please call the night before or by 8:30 in the morning if your child is going to be absent, if there is a change in diagnosis, or if the illness is a communicable disease.  A note from the doctor is required if your child has 5 consecutive days of an absence.

Dear Parents/Guardians;

As new information comes in on H1N1, we will continue to pass it along to you.  Policy guidance is now available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding the H1N1 virus, intended for K-12 schools, teachers, administrators, and parents. You will find it here:

Additionally, CDC has also created a health-focused toolkit for teachers and parents, located here: http://www.flu.gov/plan/school/toolkit.html

Finally, here is a link the press released summarizing a joint announcement on Aug. 7 from Secretaries Duncan (ED), Sebelius (HHS), and Napolitano (DHS): http://www.ed.gov/news/pressreleases/2009/08/08072009.html

Our cleaning company, DC Cleaning, is especially vigilant about
disinfecting and the teachers will continue to emphasize important safeguards, such as washing hands.   Each classroom is supplied with wipes and liquid hand disinfectant.

Please do not send your child to school if your child is sick, or if you suspect that your child is becoming sick.  It is important to the health of the school community.
